Teachers are using iDEA in a number of ways, some examples below:
- Mapping Badges to curricula and incorporating them in schemes of work
- Extra curricula lunch or after-school clubs (sometimes these are run by their own ‘digital leaders’)
- Setting Badges as homework to reinforce/support what was covered in lesson time
- Using iDEA Badges to expand the in-class conversation and empower students to share their thinking
- Using iDEA Badges to help introduce a topic before teaching a lesson on it
- Asking the students to pick their favourite Badge, do further research on the topic and present to the class
- Lots of teachers use iDEA for their own CPD – the iDEA Record of Achievement is often used to provide evidence of this
